1. Be ready and confident
Janitorial cleaning employment is a very important job that makes an impact. Besides making copies of your CV or getting an appropriate outfit for a possible HR interview, you need to be more than confident and encouraged about the work itself.
You must be convinced the work you do is essential. Overflow your mind with positive thoughts about the impact this type of cleaning job brings to the company staff and the work environment as a whole. If you do this, it will be easy to look into your interviewer’s eyes and let them know why and how your service level is great.
2. Show them you are reliable
Don’t take for granted that reliability is just being on time for your interview. You need to be able to provide traceable related experience. You must also make sure your personal or industrial cleaning employment references are up to date.
Show them any continuing education or workshop you went through and how this knowledge helps you be the perfect fit for them. Let them know If you have gone through any background check up in the past.
Also, if you attend church regularly or have worked for the community, it would be nice to provide a letter stating you are a reliable and an active member of such organization.
3. Show them you know your work
It is also important to know your industry. There are many videos and readings about cleaning jobs. Try to learn more about new cleaning products in the market and how to use them properly.
For example, if you already know about waxing floors or cleaning windows, or picking up trash, you might go a step further and learn about flooring types or safety practices.
